We hope you’re as excited for Revelry 2015 as we are! While you’re here, feel free to take a look around, learn more about University of Wisconsin-Madison’s own music festival, and check out the artists who played Revelry in years past.

Our Vision

We envision a huge, open-air music festival where UW-Madison students can come together in Badger camaraderie and celebrate the end of another school year with music and art. We strive to create an event that’s vibrant and of a professional-quality while being culturally inclusive and safe, featuring nationally recognized artists.

Revelry’s Origins

Once upon at time, former Wisconsin Union President Sarah Mathews joked about getting One Direction to play at UW-Madison for an end-of-the-year concert.

What grew from that joke was a serious thought: UW-Madison, unlike many other college campuses, doesn’t have a big, end-of-the-year concert, and eventually the idea of a spring music festival gained enough traction with the students and she decided to do something about it.

So the planning of the Revelry Music and Arts Festival began as it took its shape as a student-led and staff-supported event. Over time, we’ve been fortunate to gather a group of smart, driven students to work on this project who are dedicated to making this vision a reality. These students handle the majority of the work behind the festival, from the operations planning to the marketing to the financials.

That’s Revelry in a nutshell. If you have a curiosity so insatiable that looking around the website wasn’t able to satisfy it, feel free to contact us with questions (or to berate us, whatever).
